CRC

We are a mass-based grassroot organisation borne out of the necessity to build a national movement for defending the human and social rights of citizens and to promote mass platforms for power to achieve fundamental social change in Nigeria.

Our Organisation will build membership from the grassroots and mobilise them to immediately confront social challenges collectively

Our Aims and Objectives

To promote and propagate the human rights of any disadvantaged class, group or community and encourage a healthy environment for the citizens

Child Rights

Children have equal standing as members of the human family and are neither the property of their parents nor the state, nor are they merely beings in the making

The right to health is one of a set of internationally agreed human rights standards and is inseparable or ‘indivisible’ from these other rights.

The Current Structure of Nigeria’s Constitutional Democracy is Authoritarian

CRC Bori-Zone held a Congress meeting at the traditional headquarters of Ogoni People, Bori on 01/02/2023, on the topic : Electoral Rights, monitoring and challenges, and Experiences for the 2023 elections.
The national coordinator, Bar Arochukwu Paul Ogbonna in his speech, urge CRC members to be more proactive this year. He encouraged every unit to introduce political education into their activities and use it as a tool to educate and enlighten their members.

DR Uche Igwe Pays Familiarisation Visits CRC Diobu and Bori Units

On the 24th and 25th of November 2022 staff of the Social Development Integrated Centre (Social Action) accompanied Dr Uche Igwe on an assessment visit of the Bori and Diobu Civil Rights Council units in Rivers State. The visit was to enable the visiting Dr Uche Igwe to have first-hand information on the structure, objectives and functions of the CRC and recommend ways to make the organization more viable and responsive to its core mandate and purpose.
