We are a mass-based grassroot organisation borne out of the necessity to build a national movement for defending the human and social rights of citizens and to promote mass platforms for power to achieve fundamental social change in Nigeria.

Our Organisation will build membership from the grassroots and mobilise them to immediately confront social challenges collectively

Child Rights

Civil Rights Council’s Virtual Assembly Addresses Key Issues and Plans for the Future

The Civil Rights Council convened for their general assembly in a virtual square to deliberate on critical matters such as the upcoming elections for the Rivers State Civil Rights Council, the release of quarterly human rights reports, and the strategic planning for the remaining part of the year.

Fostering a Better Relationship Between Security Agencies and Civil Populace

Civil Rights Council, with support from Alone (Alone) and Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, convened a momentous one-day Interactive session with security agencies and key stakeholders at Aldgate Hotel, Abacha Road, Port Harcourt.
