The good people of Kaani community (ward six) in Khana LGA were in agog on Saturday 18/03/2023  when the news that electoral materials had arrived at  Community Secondary School, the collation centre for the governorship and House of Assembly election at about 7 am.  The entire community was ready to exercise their civic responsibility. However, all hope was dashed when Party agents across different political parties discovered that the electoral materials were fake including the result sheets and ballot papers for Ikwerre LGA were sent to Khana. The People resisted that election would not hold with counterfeit electoral materials. Mr Wilson Barinua Uebekee , the House of Assembly candidate with Action Alliance Party insisted that they cannot vote since the electoral materials are fake. He instructed INEC and the security operatives to send back the electoral materials and return the authentic materials.  Comrade Bariture Ngbee a chieftain of APC also condemned the attitude of INEC. It is alleged that both INEC and the security operatives went back with the fake electoral materials but never returned back to Kaani community to conduct the election.
